This recipe is the actual oldest-known fermented beverage in the world! It is an ancient Turkish recipe using the original ingredients from the 2700 year old drinking vessels discovered in the tomb of King Midas.

This beer is collaboration between Dogfish Head, Stone Brewing and Victory Brewing.
The idea for this beer germinated way back in 2003 when the three guys (Sam from Dogfish, Greg from Stone and Bill from Victory) formed the BUFF alliance (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor) - a noble endeavor with the goal to highlight the passion and camaraderie of the American craft brew movement.
So, BUFF didn't really do anything (beyond talk a lot of talk) until 2010 when the three brewers finally got together to jointly brew at beer at the Stone Brewery. Saison du BUFF will first be brewed at Stone and then replicated at each of the other two breweries - same recipe, same ingredients, three different breweries throughout 2010.

First introduced in 1994 and widely popular in the late 90s, The Original Honey Brown is mounting a comeback. Credited as one of the first beers to add honey, The Original Honey Brown sold like wildfire. Made with clear water, barley malt, hops and pure Manitoba White Clover honey, its distinctive taste won over beer fans quickly. “It developed somewhat of a cult following,” said John Fischer, brewmaster for The Original Honey Brown. “Sixteen years ago, it was a very new idea among American craft brewers to use honey as a beer ingredient and people loved it.”

Harpoon Cider is made from a blend of locally grown apples including the New England favorite, McIntosh. This crisp, refreshing cider has just the right balance of ripe apple sweetness and tartness from the fruit’s natural acidity. The color of this smooth tasting cider is very light as a result of using only freshly pressed apples. Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA will challenge your senses and your palate. As the vibrant aroma rushes out of your glass you will notice the blend of piney and tropical fruit notes. At first sip, this big beer starts with apowerful hop bitterness up front and an aggressive hop flavor and character throughout.

Harpoon Munich Dark is a blend of dark malts that creates a deeper hue than some other beers brewed in this style. The grains which create a malty chocolate-like flavor also add a warm malty nose that mingles with the subtle hop aroma. This medium bodied beer is balanced quite well with a moderately bitter hop finish.
The overall character is rich malt and chocolate balanced with a crisp hop bitterness.

Harpoon Summer Beer is a Kolsch style ale. Originating in the Rhineland city of Cologne (Koln), Kolsch ales have the characteristics that many people associate with lager beers. Kolsch is brewed with an ale yeast, but like other northern German light ales, it is straw gold in color and light bodied. The flavor is mild. The hopping levels provide a crisp, dry finish that make this beer particulary refreshing.

UFO (Un-Filtered Offering) Hefeweizen is an American style un-filtered wheat beer. Traditionally served with a lemon to complement the citrus taste yielded from the yeast. Boston, Massachusetts

Our Winter Seasonal, Winter Solstice is an amber ale brewed with a hint of sweet orange peel and cinnamon. Winter Solstice is brewed with four different malts and Cascade hops. The taste is malty and smooth with a moderate bitterness.

Award winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale is aged for up to 6 weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries.

Once brewed in Britain for the Russian Czars, this tremendously rich and thick ale uses a profusion of burnt and caramel malts. A massive mouthful of dark roasted malt and coffee flavors finishes with hints of chocolate, caramel & licorice.

Marzen/Oktoberfest German Style Lager. Its hard to imagine bottling autumn, but this beer somehow seems to pull off this feat. The beer pours an orangeish copper with a peach tan head. Taste is sweet, almost pumpkin like in some ways with a finish of wheat.

Clear yellow beer with lots of carbonated bubbles and a very pale yellowish-off-white head. Sweet malts and a light grainy undertone. A notch above the pack in the macro-brewed Euro lagers, definitely drinkable. Tastes of moderately sweet malts and a very mild hop balance. Brewed in Leuven, Belgium.

Light, clean and crisp, very refreshing. Orange citrusy aroma and flavor with some spice flavors

Brewed since 1932 using the finest malts, hops, and yeast, all part of a brewing process that takes over 500 hours.

"Tripel" actually stems from part of the brewing process, in which brewers use up to three times the amount of malt than a standard Trappist "Simple". These are actually notoriously alcoholic, yet the best crafted ones hide this character quite evil-like and deceivingly, making them sipping beers. Beer advocate gives it a solid "A", 9%ABV, and requested by one of our favorite guests! Come and get it!
